Égervölgye Theater Group, Magyaregregy

In the second half of 2022, the idea of forming a drama club arose in the minds of the two founders, Ákos Glock and Gergely Judi. They wanted to prepare some kind of production for the traditional Christmas program. It didn't take long; a short fairy tale play took shape in their minds. They discovered a story about Santa Claus in a storybook, which became the basis for a script. They just needed actors. Following a call made within their friends and acquaintances, volunteers came forward, and so the rehearsals could begin.

The members of the Theater Circle represent a wide age range, from around 10 years old to the older generation. The first performance took place on Sunday, December 18, 2022.The success of that performance has resulted in the Theater Circle continuing its activities in 2023, and even with greater enthusiasm.The tale of The Girl Locked in the Mirror was born, which, with its twisty plot, offers entertainment not only for children. The script, created from a personal concept, is authored by Gergely Judi, with additions from István Rovni.

On December 17, 2023, our Christmas-themed play titled 'Ki-Mit -Tud' will be presented. The four-member jury will have a really tough task to evaluate the performances made on the Christmas theme.We hold rehearsals weekly, usually on Tuesday evenings starting at 7 PM in the building of the Hungarian school in Magyaregregy. We warmly welcome anyone who would like to try their hand at acting.
